Mayfair Funerals Perth offer burial options tailored to your needs. Whether you want a simple, private funeral at the graveside for just the immediate family or a larger service held within a chapel followed by burial. We will work with your family to deliver a dignified, respectful funeral service for your loved one.
At Mayfair Funerals Perth, we offer gentle and respectful graveside burial services, walking beside families with empathy throughout the entire process. We ensure each farewell is meaningful and personal, overseeing every detail from the time we welcome your loved one into our care until the funeral service is complete.
Graveside funeral services take place solely at the graveside, rather than within a cemetery chapel or other venue beforehand. These services are typically shorter than chapel-based funerals and can incorporate religious customs as well as personal touches. Many families choose to include elements such as music, a rosemary reflection, and spoken tributes in honour of their loved one.
Personalised viewing option: If you wish for a private viewing with your loved one, this can be arranged at our Embleton location. Please note that choosing a viewing requires mortuary care and preparation, additional fees and charges will apply.

Graveside Burial Funeral Services in Perth — Essential Information for Families
We believe in transparency. Our team will explain the entire process, from the transfer of your loved one into our care to the burial itself. All procedures adhere to the highest standards of ethics, respect, and legal requirements in Western Australia.
Every funeral service is unique, planned and arranged to acknowledge and honour your loved one. Please find below a guide for the funeral day and remember that every funeral is unique, the below outline may differ depending on your choices and preference as a family.
Before the Service
Your loved one will travel via hearse to the cemetery with a beautiful floral casket spray.
Your Funeral Director will have arrived ahead of time to lodge the legal documents and prepare the graveside, placing any personal memorabilia that the family would like to be displayed. This may include a framed photograph, additional flowers and personal items.
Arriving to the Graveside Burial Service
On arrival at the selected graveside, you will be greeted by your Funeral Director. Your loved one will already be positioned nearby in the hearse. The Funeral Director will organise the pallbearers and guide family members and friends to their seats beneath the marquee.
On the day of the service, our experienced team ensures everything runs smoothly so you can focus on honouring your loved one’s memory. Your funeral director will be there to guide and support you at every moment.
Beginning the Graveside Service
When it is time, family or friends who are pallbearing will be invited to stand beside the hearse. They will gently remove the coffin from the hearse and carry your loved one to the grave.
Once placed, your Mayfair Funeral Director and team will ensure that your loved one’s coffin is correctly positioned. and together with the pallbearers, they will bow as a final gesture of respect.
The civil celebrant, clergy or chosen speaker will then welcome family and friends before commencing the service.

Burial Funeral Services in Perth — Essential Information for Families
What is a Burial Funeral Service in Perth
A burial funeral service involves the interment of a coffin in a cemetery plot. In Perth, this may occur in a lawn section, traditional monumental area, an above-ground mausoleum, or a designated natural-burial zone depending on the cemetery.
Whether a family prefers a simple graveside gathering or a full chapel funeral service followed by the burial, this form of traditional funeral creates a lasting and dignified resting place for a loved one.
Burial Options Available in Perth
Lawn Graves
A neat, grassed plot usually marked with a flat bronze or granite plaque (lawn graves do not allow upright standing headstone monuments).
Monumental Graves
A burial site that allows the installation of a traditional headstone, monument or family memorial scribed and installed by a licensed stonemason. Monumental grave sections are in most established Perth cemeteries, except Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park
Mausoleum or Vault Entombment
Above-ground crypts or vaults designed for families who choose or require entombment. Mausoleum interment in Perth is available at Fremantle Cemetery and Karrakatta Cemetery.
Natural or Eco Burials
Selected cemeteries provide natural burial sections where biodegradable coffins or shrouds are used, offering a gentle and environmentally mindful alternative. Recommended natural burial eco coffins include the Woollen Casket and the Wicker Casket.
